Biography

A dedicated champion of Class 11 desert racing, Dennis Hollenbeck has carved out an impressive legacy in SCORE's most challenging and iconic category. His 2019 SCORE Baja 1000 class championship stands as the pinnacle achievement in his racing career, conquering the legendary peninsula race in a stock Volkswagen Bug against fierce competition. Hollenbeck has demonstrated remarkable consistency on the world's premier desert course, earning podium finishes with third place class results at both the 2018 and 2022 Baja 1000.

Based in Ensenada, BC, Hollenbeck gained widespread recognition through his prominent feature in the acclaimed "Dust to Glory" documentary, which followed his quest to race for Mi Casa Esperanza, a home for victimized women and their children. His second-place finish at the 2017 50th Anniversary Baja 1000 showcased his elite-level competitiveness, completing the grueling course with his famous "Bochito" bug in one of the most challenging races in the class's history.

Known for his dedication to the sport's toughest category, Hollenbeck represents the spirit of Class 11 racing, where finishing the race requires exceptional skill, endurance, and mechanical fortitude in vehicles that test both driver and machine to their absolute limits.
