Building momentum from his impressive Class 11 championship runs, Alex Gonzales has established himself as one of SCORE's most consistent desert racing competitors. The Palm Desert native captured back-to-back SCORE Baja 500 class championships in 2021 and 2022, showcasing his mastery of the grueling 500-mile desert classic in the highly competitive Class 11 division.

Gonzales' versatility across multiple racing disciplines sets him apart in the desert racing community. Beyond his Class 11 dominance, he demonstrated his ability to compete at the highest levels by securing consecutive podium finishes at the legendary SCORE Baja 1000 – earning third place in 2021 and following it with an impressive second-place finish in 2022. His 2017 Trophy Truck Spec campaign further highlighted his adaptability, where he piloted his Kinetik-Chevy to a solid 17th overall finish at the Baja 1000, competing against some of the sport's most elite competitors.

Operating from the heart of Southern California's desert racing hub, Gonzales continues to represent the dedication and skill required to excel in SCORE's punishing terrain, consistently delivering championship-caliber performances across multiple seasons and vehicle classes.

With seven entries making up this traditional class at the SCORE Baja 500, SCORE fans thought that the course may have been much too tough for them.
