Following a remarkable third-place podium finish in the grueling Pro Moto Ironman class at the 2023 SCORE Baja 1000, Patrick Culligan continues to establish himself as one of Colorado's most determined desert racers. The 40-year-old Denver native completed the legendary 1,000-mile Peninsula run in 45:08:20, battling solo against some of the world's most challenging terrain aboard his Honda CRF450X.

Culligan's achievement in the Ironman division—reserved for solo riders who tackle the entire distance without teammates—demonstrates exceptional endurance and mental fortitude. Out of 27 starters in this demanding class, only nine finished, with Culligan claiming the final podium position against an international field that included competitors from Great Britain, Bolivia, and Australia.
