Fresh off a commanding victory at the 2024 BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 1000, Trey Hernquist has established himself as a formidable force in Class 5 Unlimited desert racing. His recent conquest of the legendary peninsula race showcases the continued competitive excellence that has defined his SCORE career.

Hernquist's mastery of Baja's punishing terrain spans multiple seasons, with championship victories at both of SCORE's premier events. His 2020 SCORE Baja 500 class championship demonstrated early dominance in the challenging Ensenada desert race, while his 2022 third-place podium finish at the Baja 1000 proved his elite-level competitiveness on motorsport's biggest stage.

Operating from his Encinitas, California base, Hernquist has consistently proven his ability to navigate the extreme conditions that eliminate more than half of competitors in major SCORE events. His recent Baja 1000 victory came during one of the series' most demanding races, where desert conditions handed out what SCORE Magazine called "a spanking to competitors."
