Fresh off a hard-fought third-place podium finish at the 2024 SCORE Baja 400, Adrian Escandon continues to establish himself as a formidable force in SCORE's Pro UTV Forced Induction class. Racing the No. 2956 Can-Am Maverick alongside co-driver Bogart Escandon, the Tijuana-based competitor delivered a masterful performance despite challenging conditions that included multiple flat tires and poor visibility from dust.
"Our goal was to get a top five, and we did it," Escandon reflected after the grueling Baja 400, where the team overcame a significantly deteriorated course compared to their pre-run reconnaissance. The strategic approach paid dividends, as Escandon noted, "We were cautious with the car and took it to the finish," positioning the team just points behind class leader Erick Kozin heading into the SCORE Baja 1000.
Escandon's methodical racing style and mechanical sympathy have become hallmarks of his desert racing career. His ability to navigate technical terrain while preserving equipment demonstrates the tactical acumen that separates successful SCORE competitors from weekend warriors. With championship aspirations firmly in sight, Escandon represents the new generation of Mexican desert racing talent making their mark on SCORE's most competitive UTV class.
