A pioneering force in electric off-road racing, Raul Rodriguez Jr. made history as the 2018 SCORE Baja 1000 champion in the groundbreaking Baja E class, becoming the first racer to conquer the legendary peninsula in an electric vehicle. Based in Ensenada, BC, Rodriguez has established himself as a technological innovator in desert racing, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with electric powertrains in the world's most demanding off-road environment.

Rodriguez's championship run came after months of meticulous preparation, working alongside co-driver Molly Vermeer to design and integrate sophisticated electrical systems capable of surviving the brutal 1000-mile course. His team's innovative approach included strategic battery pack replacements every 50 miles, with crews recharging backup systems while driving to pit stops. This technical mastery and forward-thinking strategy earned him the inaugural Baja E class victory, cementing his place in SCORE history.
