Biography

Todd Romano brings decades of Class 1 desert racing expertise to the brutal Baja Peninsula, having competed in some of SCORE's most challenging endurance events. Based in Park City, Utah, Romano has established himself as a reliable finisher in the ultra-competitive unlimited open-wheel division, where mechanical failures and course hazards eliminate more than half the field.

Romano's gritty determination was showcased during the historic 50th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 in 2017, where he served as co-driver for Luis Saenz in the #103 Tatum-Chevy. Despite facing the grueling 1,134-mile peninsula run from Ensenada to La Paz, their team persevered through one of the most demanding courses in off-road racing history. Competing alongside fellow co-drivers Ryan Millen, T.J. Flores, and Christopher Saenz, Romano helped guide their Class 1 entry to an eighth-place finish in a field where only eight of nineteen starters reached the checkered flag.

The 2017 Baja 1000 featured a record 405 competitors from 44 U.S. states and 28 countries, making it one of the most internationally diverse fields in SCORE history. Romano's experience navigating the technical challenges of high-speed desert racing continues to make him a valuable asset to any Class 1 program.
