Spring Valley, CA - #106
Building from a legendary family racing legacy, Ramon Bio has established himself as a formidable force in SCORE desert racing, capturing the 2016 SCORE Baja 500 and Baja 1000 victories in the 1/2-1600 class alongside his brother Cisco as co-driver. At just 16 years old during that breakthrough season, Ramon demonstrated the racing instincts that run deep in the Bio family bloodline.
The youngest member of the celebrated Bio racing dynasty from Spring Valley, Ramon began his racing journey at age seven in local competition before making his SCORE debut in 2014 as co-driver with Class 11 champion Viry Felix. Under the mentorship of veterans like Clyde Stacy and drawing from his family's decades of Baja Peninsula experience, Ramon quickly developed into a skilled desert racer capable of handling the punishing terrain that challenges VW-powered vehicles.
His recent success in the 1/2-1600 class, including a 2018 SCORE Baja 500 class victory, showcases his evolution as a driver while maintaining the Bio family tradition of excellence in air-cooled VW competition. Ramon continues the family's commitment to supporting fellow racers while pursuing victories across the legendary Baja Peninsula courses that his grandfather Pancho first conquered in 1990.
