A veteran Class 1 competitor with extensive SCORE desert racing experience, Rick Freschet has established himself as a consistent presence in the sport's most challenging unlimited open-wheel division. Based in San Mateo, California, Freschet has tackled the legendary Baja 1000 multiple times, demonstrating the perseverance and mechanical expertise required to navigate over 1,100 miles of unforgiving Baja Peninsula terrain.

In the 2017 50th Anniversary BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000, Freschet piloted his #124 Spectrum-Dodge alongside co-drivers Chad Cummings, Arthur Velasco, and Bobby McCall in the prestigious Class 1 division. Despite the demanding course from Ensenada to La Paz spanning 1,134 miles, the team showcased their commitment to one of desert racing's most grueling competitions, facing international competition from 404 entries representing 44 U.S. states and 28 countries.
