Demonstrating remarkable persistence and determination in SCORE desert racing, this Idaho-based off-road veteran has carved out a respected career in the grueling world of Baja competition. Competing primarily in the Pro Moto 30 class aboard his Husqvarna FE501, Curtis Yanzick has proven his mettle against some of the sport's toughest competition.

His most notable achievement came during the legendary Baja 1000, where he finished 5th in the highly competitive Pro Moto 30 category with an impressive time of 35:40:58. Racing alongside a skilled crew including Paul Husbauer from Oregon, Damascus veteran Milo Linville, brother Garrett Yanzick, and teammates Eric Berard and William St. Laurent from Florida, the team showcased the collaborative spirit that defines successful desert racing.

Operating from his base in Cataldo, Idaho, Yanzick represents the blue-collar dedication that makes SCORE racing so compelling. His willingness to tackle the punishing 1000-mile course through Baja's unforgiving terrain speaks to both his riding skills and mechanical preparation. The Pro Moto 30 class, reserved for riders over 30, features some of the most experienced competitors in the sport, making his top-five finish particularly meaningful in establishing his credentials among desert racing's elite performers.
