Iconic SCORE Baja 1000 voted No. 1 desert race and No. 2 motorsports event in No. America by USA Today’s readers

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico – Continuing to be recognized as one of the world’s premier motorsports events, the legendary SCORE Baja 1000 has been voted by the readers of USA Today newspaper as the No. 2 motorsports event in North America. The SCORE Baja 1000 is also the No. 1 desert race in North America according to the reader’s choice voting that took place over a month and ended on July 6. Finishing first overall in the 2020 USA Today 10Best readers’ choice awards was the Twelve Hours of Sebring sports car race. After the SCORE Baja 1000, third in overall votes was the Knoxville Nationals, fourth was the Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb and fifth was the Indianapolis 500. While the SCORE Baja 1000 was No. 2 overall in 2020, it was also first among the three desert races that made the top 20 list that was voted upon by the fans.
