    Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico – Today, the official map for the 57th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 was unveiled, the second round of the 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship, which will take place from June 4 to 8 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, featuring magical and historic terrains along its 461.03 race course miles.

           In SCORE International's 52nd season, SCORE President and Race Director, Jose A. Grijalva, designed a route that includes many traditional areas of the magical Baja California Peninsula, along with several new natural off-road areas, in collaboration with SCORE Race Co-Director, Rodolfo Fernandez.

           For Fernandez, the SCORE Baja 500 race course is very technical, with some new sections that have not been used in any previous SCORE race, "They are existing paths, but new for SCORE. It will be a very fast coastal section, but very technical in the first part of the race course."

          "The preliminary track layout work began before the SCORE San Felipe 250. After the race, we went out to inspect the trails to confirm that they were in suitable condition to be part of the route,".

           The race course for the Sportsman classes of motorcycles, trucks cars is 416.43 miles, with a cutoff point in the race course of 50 miles, between mile 200 and mile 259.

THE RACE COURSE

          The green flag will be waved on the Bulevar Costero of Ensenada, where race drivers will need to travel at normal traffic speed along the Federal Highway 1, until reaching Rancho Nelson, where the timing for competitors will begin. From there, the race course will continue towards the Piedras Gordas ejido, then to Ojos Negros, and further on to 3 Hermanos. After that, the drivers will exit at kilometer 77 on Federal Highway 1, and enter at kilometer 79, heading towards the Santa Catarina ejido.

          Racers will pass the famous Goat Trail, then take the highway to Valle de la Trinidad, heading towards Mike's Sky ranch. From there, they will proceed to La Jolla ranch, then take the highway to the San Pedro Martir Observatory, reach Santa Cruz ranch, then Valladares ranch, and the race course will descend to the Santo Domingo stream. From there, they will head towards the Vicente Guerrero (Pena Colorada) Colony, reaching San Quintin, then heading north towards the San Quintin volcanoes area, continuing on to the Ejido Zarahemla, Camalu, San Jacinto, 4 Casas, Punta Colonet ejido, San Antonio del Mar, and Cerro Solo.

        The journey will then arrive at the Lopez Rayon ejido, passing the San Vicente stream, and offer a view of the Pacific Ocean near the Erendira ejido. From there, it will cross over to Punta Cabras, pass through the Nativos del Valle ejido, and descend to Santo Tomas, taking the Federal Highway 2 until reaching the Uruapan ejido. After passing the famous hills, the race course will head towards Ojos Negros, and later return to Rancho Nelson, where 7 ramps will be set up in a short course area to cut time for all the race teams. Racers will then drive at moderate speeds along the road back to the Bulevar Costero.

        Along the race course, racers will pass through 11 washes, making their way step by step to the checkered flag in Ensenada. The time limit for all competitors to finish the race is 18 hours.

IT'S TIME TO DO THE HOMEWORK
       The race course will open for pre-running on Saturday, May 24, with the reminder that race teams must inspect the race course at moderate speeds, not race speeds, comply with traffic laws, and ensure ranch gates are closed where the race will pass.
       On Thursday, May 22, the GPS files for the race course will be published in the afternoon on the SCORE website, under the SCORE Baja 500 logo. This information will be very useful for racers and their teams as part of their reconnaissance logistics.
BFGOODRICH TIRES, THE BEST PITS IN BAJA
      BFGoodrich Tires, the official tire of SCORE for 48 years, is the latest winner of SCORE’s Pit Crew of the Year award, a role that employees and volunteers from the American company have carried out for over 34 years, supporting competition teams from continents such as Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas.
      For the 57th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 this coming June, there will be 3 pits along the route, designed to cover areas with difficult access in the municipalities of Ensenada and San Quintin, with staff from both the United States and Mexico providing specialized attention in off-road racing. They will offer tire changes, if needed, race fuel service, welding work, and other mechanical services.
     The BFGoodrich Tires pit 1 will be located at mile 125 south of the Valle de la Trinidad, pit 2 will be at mile 237 in the municipality of San Quintin, and pit 3 will service the competition teams at the Ejido Erendira, mile 350.

     BFGoodrich Tires has been the choice of 34 of the 56 overall winners of the popular SCORE Baja 500 and 34 of the 57 overall winners of the iconic SCORE Baja 1000. BFGoodrich Tires also was the title sponsor of both iconic races again in 2024. And will be again in 2025.

     BFGoodrich Tires also has been the choice of 31 of the 38 overall winners of the SCORE San Felipe 250, all three SCORE Desert Challenge races, the one SCORE Challenge of Champions race, the one SCORE Baja Sur 500 and one of five overall winners of the SCORE Baja 400.

     BFGoodrich Tires has also posted $6,000 in Contingency bonuses for the winner in six classes in this race.

Wheels qualification and is considered one of the favorites to win the ‘pole position’ in the SCORE Baja 500.

MORE ENTRYS INTERNATIONALFROM AROUND THE WORLD
      So far, 96 teams have registered for the 57th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500, the second round of the 2025 SCORE World Desert Championship, which will take place in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, from June 4 to 8, with competitors from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, France, the United States, and host Mexico.
     Athletes from 15 states in the United States are officially registered, including California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, and Texas. The four SCORE races in 2025 will be held on the magnificent Baja California Peninsula in Mexico, a tradition that has continued for the past ten years.

BULEVAR COSTERO, HOME OF THE SCORE BAJA 500
     Tech Inspection for the SCORE Baja 500 will take place on Friday, June 6, at the Ensenada Bulevar Costero, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT, an event expected to gather more than 50,000 people throughout the day.
     On Saturday, June 7, the green flag will drop at the Bulevar Costero, with the first motorcycle leaving at 3:30 a.m. PT, while the first 4-wheel vehicle will depart at 9:15 a.m. PT, facing a 460-mile race course. All vehicles will have a 18-hour time limit to become official finishers in the elapsed-time race.
    The awards celebration will be held on Sunday, June 8, at the Cathedral Room of the Riviera de Ensenada Cultural Center at 12:30 p.m. Qualifying, contingency and the race days will be part of SCORE Live with Rat Sult and Kevin Johnson on SCORE´s official YouTube channel and also its official Facebook account. Tracking of the race vehicles will be available during the race through the SCORE website.

METHOD RACE WHEELS QUALIFYING
      SCORE Trophy Truck, SCORE Trophy Truck 2WD, SCORE Trophy Truck, SCORE TT Legend and Trophy Truck Spec classes will hold the Method Race Wheels Qualifying session on Thursday, June 5. Starting with at 7 a.m. PT at a private venue, this event is closed to the public.

      The Method Race Wheels Qualifying will determine the starting order in those three classes for the race, as this is the second time in history that all SCORE four races will hold a qualifying session.

      SCORE Live will air the Method Race Wheels Qualifying through the SCORE website.

      Start order for all of the other classes in this race will be determined by a random draw for positions within each class.

Revelan ruta de la edición 57 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 

 

El mapa oficial de la segunda fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2025 de SCORE ya está en www.score-international.com, consta de 461.03 millas para las clases profesionales de motocicletas y carros, así como 416.43 millas para las categorías Sportsmans

    Ensenada, Baja California, México – Hoy se dio a conocer el mapa oficial de la edición 57 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500, la segunda fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2025 de SCORE, que se llevará a cabo del 4 al 8 de junio en Ensenada, Baja California, México, contando con terrenos mágicos e históricos a lo largo de sus 461.03 millas.

      En la temporada 52 de SCORE International, el Presidente y Director de Carrera de SCORE, José Abelardo Grijalva, le dio forma a una ruta con muchas zonas tradicionales de la península mágica de Baja California, sumado a varias áreas nuevas naturales en el Off-Road, de la mano del Codirector de Carrera de SCORE, Rodolfo Fernández.

     Para Fernández, la ruta de la SCORE Baja 500 es muy técnica, con algunas secciones nuevas que no se han utilizado anteriormente en ninguna carrera de SCORE, “son caminos ya existentes, pero nuevos para SCORE, será una zona muy rápida en la costa, pero con muy técnica en la primera parte de la pista”.

     “Los trabajos de trazado preliminar de la pista, comenzaron antes de la SCORE San Felipe 250, tras pasar la carrera, salimos a ver los caminos para confirmar que estaban en condiciones para ser parte de la ruta”, afirmó Fernández.

      La ruta para las categorías Sportsmans de motocicletas y carros es de 416.43 millas, al contar con un corte en la ruta de 50 millas, entre la milla 200 y la milla 259.

LA RUTA

      El banderazo de salida será en el Bulevar Costero de Ensenada, punto en donde los corredores deberán de manejar a velocidad de tráfico normal por la carretera federal número 1, hasta llegar al Rancho Nelson, donde comenzará a correr el tiempo para los corredores, para luego seguir hacia el ejido Piedras Gordas, de ahí hasta Ojos Negros, la ruta continuará hasta 3 Hermanos, posteriormente saldrán los corredores en el kilómetro 77 de la carretera federal número 1, para luego entrar en el kilómetro 79, dirigiéndose al ejido Santa Catarina.

      Pasarán los competidores por la famosa Bajada de las Cabras, luego tomarán carretera hacia el Valle de la Trinidad, dirigiéndose hacia el rancho Mike´s Sky, de ahí van hacia rancho La Jolla, tomarán carretera hacia el Observatorio de San Pedro Mártir, llegarán al rancho Santa Cruz, luego arribarán al rancho Valladares, la ruta descenderá al arroyo Santo Domingo, de ahí se dirigirán hacia la Colonia Vicente Guerrero (Peña Colorada), llegando luego hasta San Quintín, luego tomando hacia la zona norte de los volcanes de San Quintín, para seguir hasta el Ejido Zarahemla, Camalú, San Jacinto, 4 Casas, ejido Punta Colonet, San Antonio del Mar y Cerro Solo.

      La travesía llegará al ejido López Rayón, pasando por el arroyo San Vicente, para ver de frente el Océano Pacífico a la altura del ejido Eréndira, luego cruzando hacia Punta Cabras, pasando por el ejido Nativos del Valle, hasta descender a Santo Tomás, tomando la carretera federal número 2 hasta llegar al ejido Uruapan, pasando las famosas colinas de talcos hacia Ojos Negros, y, posteriormente llegar al Rancho Nelson, donde se ubicarán 7 rampas en una zona de short course, para cortar tiempo ahí, y que los corredores se dirijan a velocidades moderadas por carretera hasta el Bulevar Costero.

       A lo largo de la ruta, los corredores deberán de pasar por 11 arroyos, para ir avanzando paso a paso hasta quedarse con la bandera a cuadros en Ensenada. El tiempo límite para que todos los corredores finalicen la carrera, es de 18 horas.

ES TIEMPO DE HACER LA TAREA

      La pista se abrirá para recorridos el sábado 24 de mayo, recordando que los equipos deben de reconocer la ruta a velocidad moderada, no de carreras, respetar las leyes de tránsito, así como cerrar puertas de ranchos por donde pasará la carrera.

      El jueves 22 de mayo se publicarán los archivos de GPS de la ruta, por la tarde, dentro de la página de internet de SCORE, bajo el logo de la SCORE Baja 500, información que será de gran utilidad para los corredores y sus equipos como parte de su logística de recorridos.

     BFGoodrich Tires, la llanta oficial de SCORE durante 48 años, es el último ganador del Equipo de Pits del Año de SCORE, labor que han realizado empleados y voluntarios de la empresa estadounidense por más de 34 años, como un apoyo para los equipos de competencia de continentes como Europa, Asia, África, Oceanía y América.

    Para la edición 57 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 en junio próximo, se contará con 3 pits en la ruta, pensando en abarcar zonas de acceso complicado por los municipios de Ensenada y San Quintín, de la mano de personal de los Estados Unidos y México con la atención más especializada en las carreras fuera de camino, donde les harán cambio de llantas, si es que lo necesitan, servicio de gasolina de carreras, hasta trabajos de soldadura y diferentes servicios mecánicos.

      El pit 1 de BFGoodrich Tires estará en la milla 125 al sur del Valle de la Trinidad, el pit 2 se ubicará en la milla 237 en el municipio de San Quintín, y el pit 3, dará servicio a los equipos de competencia en el ejido Eréndira, milla 350.
     La marca BFGoodrich Tires ha sido la elección de 34 de los 56 ganadores overall de la popular SCORE Baja 500, y, de 34 de los 57 triunfadores absolutos de la icónica SCORE Baja 1000. BFGoodrich Tires también fue el patrocinador principal de ambas carreras icónicas en 2024, al igual, que lo es en este 2025.
     BFGoodrich Tires también ha sido la elección de 31 de los 38 ganadores overall de la SCORE San Felipe 250, las tres carreras del Reto Desértico de SCORE, la única carrera del Desafío de Campeones de Score, la única SCORE Baja Sur 500, y uno de los cinco ganadores generales de la SCORE Baja 400.

      Hasta el momento se cuenta con 96 equipos inscritos para la edición 57 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500, segunda fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2025 de SCORE que se realizará en Ensenada, Baja California, México, del 4 al 8 de junio, de la mano de corredores de Australia, Canadá, Nueva Zelanda, Francia, Estados Unidos y el anfitrión México.

      Se cuenta con atletas de 15 estados de los Estados Unidos en los registros oficiales, entre ellos, California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Idaho y Texas. Las cuatro carreras de SCORE en este 2025 se llevarán a cabo en la magnífica península de Baja California de México, algo que ha sucedido durante los últimos diez años.

TODOS LOS CAMINOS LLEVAN A ENSENADA
      La revisión mecánica de la SCORE Baja 500 será el viernes 6 de Junio en el Bulevar Costero de Ensenada, de las 8 de la mañana a las 5 de la tarde, actividad que espera reunir a más de 50 mil personas a lo largo de ese día.
      El sábado 7 de Junio caerá la bandera verde en el Bulevar Costero, con la primera motocicleta partiendo a las 3:30 de la mañana, tiempo del Pacífico, mientras que el primer vehículo de 4 ruedas, partirá a las 9:15 de la mañana, teniendo que vencer una ruta de 460 millas, y con un tiempo límite para cruzar la meta en Ensenada, de 18 horas.
      La ceremonia de premiación se realizará el domingo 8 de Junio en el Salón Catedral del Centro Social, Cívico y Cultural Riviera de Ensenada, a las 12:30 de la tarde, recordando que la SCORE Baja 500 será transmitida en vivo por el canal oficial de SCORE en YouTube y también su cuenta oficial de Facebook, con los comentarios del popular Rat Sult desde la rampa de salida y meta, quien contará con apoyo de Kevin Johnson en el micrófono.

LA CALIFICACIÓN METHOD RACE WHEELS
     El jueves 5 de Junio se realizará la calificación Method Race Wheels para los SCORE Trophy Trucks, SCORE Trophy Trucks 2WD, SCORE Trophy Trucks Legend y Trophy Truck Spec, iniciando con prácticas desde las 7 de la mañana en una sede privada, recordando que en este evento no se permitirá el acceso a espectadores.
      De esa manera se definirá el orden de arranque en esas 4 clases para la carrera, siendo esta la segunda vez en la historia que todas las fechas de SCORE contarán con esta actividad, con lo que se busca generar una mayor derrama económica en las sedes de los eventos, como Ensenada y San Felipe.
      La calificación Method Race Wheels será transmitida en vivo por las cuentas oficiales de SCORE en Facebook y YouTube, con la opinión de expertos del Off-Road desde los estudios de SCORE en El Cajón, California.
