‘THE LUKE’ LEADS THE SCORE TROPHY TRUCK CHAMPIONSHIP
Luke ‘The Luke’ McMillin, 33, San Diego, Calif. has enjoyed a spectacular first half of the 2026 season, earning two marquee victories in the SCORE Trophy Truck division to build a championship-leading total of 224 points while continuing the winning legacy of the legendary ‘Big Blue M.’ That remarkable dynasty began more than five decades ago with the vision of family patriarch Corky McMillin, a passion later carried on by his sons, Mark McMillin and Scott McMillin.
Driving the No. 83 McMillin Racing Mason Ford Raptor AWD, McMillin has stood atop the podium in both races contested on Mexican soil this season. His latest victories increased his career total to eight SCORE Trophy Truck wins during the 32-year history of SCORE’s premier racing division, which was established in 1994 by the late Sal Fish, the legendary ‘Godfather of Off-Road’ and former owner of SCORE International.
With a masterful display of precision behind the wheel across the deserts of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula, McMillin continues to add to his impressive list of achievements. Among them are three SCORE Trophy Truck season championships (2020, 2021, and 2022) and membership in the exclusive group of just 12 racers who have captured SCORE Baja Triple Crown by winning the SCORE Baja 1000, SCORE Baja 500, and SCORE San Felipe 250 overall.
Las Vegas Bryce Menzies, 38, sits second in the SCORE Trophy Truck championship with 204 points after posting a pair of third place finishes in the SCORE San Felipe 250 and the SCORE Baja 500. Behind the wheel of the No. 7 Mason Ford Raptor AWD Menzies Motorsports, he remains firmly in title contention with two rounds still to be contested in SCORE’s premier ‘Monsters of the Desert’ division.
Tied for third in the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship standings are Mexico’s Alan Ampudia, 35, Ensenada, Mexico, and former NASCAR Series driver Justin Lofton, 40, Lockney, Texas, each with 198 points. Ampudia finished 10th at the SCORE San Felipe 250 before charging to a runner-up finish at the SCORE Baja 500 in the No. 1 Papas & Beer Team Mason AWD Ford Raptor, as he pursues his third consecutive SCORE Trophy Truck season championship.
