    ENSENADA, Mexico—SCORE International’s SCORE World Desert Championship will continue to have a significant presence at the upcoming 20th annual Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo at the Fairplex in Pomona, Calif.
To be held Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday, Sept. 29, the extensive and colorful SCORE Baja 1000 exhibit area in Building 5 will once again offer desert-racing fans the opportunity to interact with many of the top desert racing teams in the world while viewing the most radical motorsports vehicles ever developed. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday (Sept. 28) and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 29).
Over 250 entries, from 30 U.S. States and 15 countries are expected to compete in this year’s 52nd annual SCORE Baja 1000.
The world’s most iconic, oldest, prestigious, toughest and longest continuously held desert race, this year’s SCORE Baja 1000 will start and finish in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. Dates for the race and race week festivities will be Nov. 19 through Nov. 24. The race is annually the finale of the four-race SCORE World Desert Championship, which is being held exclusively for the past four years in Baja California.
COURSE UNVEILING 
At a 3 p.m. PT media conference on Saturday, Sept. 28, SCORE will unveil the official course map for the 2019 SCORE Baja 1000, the 52nd edition of the iconic Granddaddy of All Desert Races.
BOOK SIGNING—‘Racing Into History II-SCORE Baja 500 50th Anniversary’
As a special added attraction to the SCORE Baja 1000 Exhibit at this year’s event will be a pair of book signing sessions to help launch the sale of the new 432-page hard-cover book entitled ‘Racing Into History II’, a pictorial celebration of BFGoodrich Tires 50th SCORE Baja 500 in 2018.
While the elaborate book, which features a historical records section as well, will be on sale both days the showcase book signing sessions will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. PT on both Saturday and Sunday at the Expo.
Many legends, past and present, will appear at the two SCORE Baja 500 ‘Racing Into History II’—SCORE Baja 500 50th Anniversary book-signing sessions.
The SCORE Baja 500 50th anniversary book compliments last year’s SCORE Baja 1000 50th Baja 1000 anniversary book for a magnificent two-book set showcasing the history and the legend of the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization.

STAND 21 SAFETY SEMINAR
A new element this year will be SCORE sponsor and international manufacturer Stand 21 Racewear and SCORE hosting the 4th Annual Stand 21 Racing Goes Safer Foundation Off-Road Safety mini-seminar on Saturday (Sept. 28) at 10 a.m. PT at SCORE exhibit area at the Off-Road Expo. It is one of several safety seminars that Stand 21 presents for various racing organizations.
To be held at the SCORE Baja 1000 display in Building 5, details on special guest speakers, topics, etc., will be available over the next several days at the foundation website at www.racinggoessafer.org.
With its Racing Goes Safer program, the Stand 21 Safety Foundation has been active since 1970.    Stand 21 Racewear, founded nearly 50 years ago in France, operates in the United States out of its Stand 21 North America headquarters in Huntington Beach, Calif.

The 2019 Lucas Oil Off-Road Expo will once again be the largest and greatest collection of off-road companies, parts, equipment, gear, and experts assembled in America. From off-road racing to rock crawling, trail riding to sand sports, motorcycles to quads and camping to adventure travel, the event provides the unique opportunity to meet and talk with the most knowledgeable people in the off-road industry.

The SCORE Baja 1000 Exhibit will include a vast variety of unique and special SCORE apparel and souvenir merchandise available for sale including the special books on the 50th anniversaries of both the SCORE Baja 1000 and the SCORE Baja 500.

On Saturday night at this year’s Off-Road Expo, the SCORE will host of the show’s annual after-hours exhibitor’s reception at the popular show.

ABC TV IN 2019
The 2019 SCORE World Desert Championship is being televised on the ABC TV family of networks, marking the first time back on the ABC network since the 1967 and 1968 coverage of the Baja 1000 on ABC’s old Wide World of Sports show.
The one-hour shows on the 33rd SCORE San Felipe 250, 51st SCORE Baja 500 and the 52nd SCORE Baja 1000 are being televised as part of ABC’s World of X Games year-long programming. Presented by SCORE sponsors Monster Energy and BFGoodrich Tires, the ABC World of X Games series profiles iconic action sports figures and also highlights athletes, artists, event previews and recaps.
The inaugural Lucerna SCORE Baja 400 in September will air as a one-hour special on ESPN TV, also on the World of X Games programming.
All of the SCORE race coverage shows continue to air internationally in nearly 25 countries in Europe, Asia and South America via syndication and ESPN International.
