112 racers in hunt for 2022 Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Awards
Midway through the 2022 SCORE World Desert Championship

For Pro, Sportsman racers in cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles
and quads completing every required race mile

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico—Midway through the four-race 2022 SCORE World Desert Championship, 112 of the toughest racers in the world remain in the hunt to earn 2022 Rod Hall SCORE Milestone Awards. The first two races were the SCORE San Felipe 250 in April and the SCORE Baja 500 in June.
SCORE MILESTONE AWARDS
SCORE is presenting these prestigious awards to the world’s toughest desert racers for the 37th consecutive year. The Rod Hall SCORE Milestone awards will be presented to the car, truck, UTV drivers and motorcycle, quad riders who finish every required mile as official finishers in the 2022 SCORE World Desert Championship. Racers have been required to cover 740.12 miles in two races so far this season.
NEXT UP
Many of the world's best desert racers will be in action at this year's 3rd SCORE Baja 400, presented by VP Racing Fuels. The 2021 season-finale will be televised on a delayed basis as a one-hour special on ESPN2's World of X Games programming. The event will be held Sept. 13-18 in Ensenada, Mexico.
Over 200 vehicles are expected at the start line with racers from nearly 25 U.S. States and as many as 10 countries anticipated. Pro and Sportsman classes for cars, trucks, UTVs, motorcycles and quads will be competing in the youngest of the four current SCORE Baja races.
This year’s SCORE Baja 400 will be a loop race, starting and finishing in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
Finishing positions in the SCORE Baja 400, presented by VP Racing Fuels, will also determine the starting order within each class for November’s iconic, season-ending BFGoodrich Tires 55th SCORE Baja 1000, presented by 4 Wheel Parts.
Ensenada, “The Off-Road Capital of the World” is a coastal port city on the Bahia de Todos Santos area of the Pacific Ocean, 80 miles south of the U.S. border at San Diego.
Pre-race activities and the official start/finish line for the race will be held on Blvd. Costero in the heart of Ensenada at the iconic Riviera del Pacifico Cultural Center.
Inaugurated in 2019, the SCORE Baja 400 was not held in 2020 because of the international pandemic and in 2021 started and finished without spectators Northeast of the central city.
The two defending overall and SCORE Trophy Truck champions in this new race are Ryan Arciero, Foothill Ranch, Calif. (2019) and Las Vegas’ Bryce Menzies (2021).

The 112 racers who have completed all the required miles thus far are from 27 different SCORE racing classes.
