SCORE announces 4 Wheel Parts partnership
for 2016 SCORE World Desert Championship
Off-road industry retail giant signs agreement on eve of 48th annual SCORE Baja 500;
Internationally televised 477.52-mile race to be held next week in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico;
RENO, Nev., USA—Adding to the excitement of next week’s spectacular 48th annual SCORE Baja 500 desert race, SCORE International has confirmed that an ‘Official Partner’ agreement has been signed with the off-road market’s leading retailer, 4 Wheel Parts, and their associated product brands for the 2016 World Desert Championship. The agreement will provide both organizations with the tools to expand their brand exposure to markets outside of their current core areas.
With 75 retail locations across the U.S. and Canada, the ever-expanding 4 Wheel Parts retailer network is the global leader in truck, Jeep, SUV, off-road performance products and installation facilities.

In terms of this agreement 4 Wheel Parts retail operations and their associated product divisions and social media platforms will now be part of shared SCORE race and custom content video programs for viewing in retail show rooms. In addition, SCORE International race promotions as well as continuing SCORE SEMA Baja 1000 Qualifier ticket allocation promotions will be available exclusively at the Las Vegas 4 Wheel Parts Performance Center.
SCORE Baja 500
Over 250 entries are expected at the start line for the 477.52-mile loop race course that starts and finishes in Ensenada, Mexico, 80 miles south of the U.S. Border at San Diego.
Entries from 25 U.S. States and 10 countries are anticipated in the elapsed-time race with staggered starts as the green flag on Saturday (June 4) will drop first for the motorcycles and quads at 5:30 a.m. and approximately 10 a.m. for the cars, trucks and UTVs. There is a 21-hour time limit in the elapsed-time race to become an official finisher.

The world’s best desert racers will be in action at this year’s 48th anniversary of the SCORE Baja 500, the original desert race produced by SCORE on July 26, 1974.
The SCORE Baja 500 is one of the top motorsports events in the world, originally started in 1969 by the NORRA organization. SCORE International was asked by the Mexican government to take over the event in 1974.
Ensenada has been the heart and soul of the SCORE Baja 500 as the popular summertime race and this year will mark the 43rd time it has started and 39th time it has finished in Ensenada.
