THE DESERT BEAST EMERGES

. . . An Unassuming Class 8 Truck At The 48th Annual BAJA 1000 Competed In The SCORE Trophy Truck Class - And Beat Half Of The Field - Then This Happened . . .

It wasn’t too long ago, at the 48th SCORE Baja 1000, that an unassuming Class 8 truck managed to compete in the SCORE Trophy Truck Class, and beat half of the field. While not much was said about this, and no big media splash was made, the truck was put on a trailer and went off into the Baja sunset. At that time, not many people knew that Kent Kroeker and his team were behind the wheel, testing a production truck that was designed and built from a joint venture between KORE and the Prefix Corporation. Prefix is a Michigan based corporation that builds and designs specialty and prototype vehicles for the aviation, automotive, motion picture, and other industries. The idea was to build a serious Baja capable truck on the Ram 1500 platform that could be tough enough to handle high-speed off-road terrain, yet docile enough to be driven daily if necessary. The result is the Prefix Minotaur.">
